Learn how to create folders and add activities to them

A folder is a container for your activities and your activities are what you will use to create time entries. You can be as generic or specific with your folders and activities as you wish, it's all about what works best for you.

How to create a folder

  1. Tap Timer in the navigation bar at the bottom

  2. Tap Add folder + in the top right corner

  3. Tap Name and name your folder and then tap Save in the top right corner

  4. If you'd like to change the icon associated with your folder tap on Icon and select one from the list and tap Save in the top right corner

  5. If you want to track billable time in the folder tap the toggle switch to enable this feature

  6. If you want to track hourly rates tap the toggle switch to enable this feature and tap on Hourly rate to select whether the rates should be defined per activity or per user (tap Save in the top right corner if you've made any changes). Tap Currency to specify the currency the rates should be billed in (tap Save in the top right corner if you've made any changes)

  7. Tap Add in the top right corner

How to add an activity to an empty folder

To add an activity to your newly created folder simply tap the Add activity button that will appear beneath the folder on the Timer screen.

  1. Tap on Name and give your activity the desired name and tap Save in the top right corner

  2. If you'd like to change the color that was assigned by default tap on Color and select any of the predefined colors and tap Save in the top right corner

  3. If you enabled hourly rates per activity when the folder was created you can specify the rate by tapping Hourly rate and entering the desired rate and tapping Save in the top right corner

  4. If billable time was enabled you can also select whether or not this activity should be billable by default using the toggle switch

  5. You can also specify whether or not this activity should count toward your work hours using the toggle switch

  6. Tap Create in the top right corner

Adding an activity to a folder with existing activities

If you have a folder which already contains one or more activities just click on the pencil icon to the right of the folder name on the Timer screen to add more.

  1. Under the Activities section tap Add activity

  2. Tap on Name and give your activity the desired name and tap Save in the top right corner

  3. If you'd like to change the color that was assigned by default tap on Color and select any of the predefined colors and tap Save in the top right corner

  4. If you enabled hourly rates per activity when the folder was created you can specify the rate by tapping Hourly rate and entering the desired rate and tapping Save in the top right corner

  5. If billable time was enabled you can also select whether or not this activity should be billable by default using the toggle switch

  6. You can also specify whether or not this activity should count toward your work hours using the toggle switch

  7. Tap Create in the top right corner
