If you're experiencing an issue with your Tracker or the Timeular app, below are some common first steps you can perform to troubleshoot certain issues.

Before beginning there are a few of things that should be mentioned:

  1. The Tracker cannot be paired to more than 1 device simultaneously. For example, if it is paired with your phone it cannot also be paired with your computer at the same time.

  2. If your Tracker is showing that it is connected but it isn't tracking time entries when flipped, the activities may have become un-assigned. If you clicked the "Forget Tracker" button or if you pressed and held the button on the Tracker for 8 or more seconds (which performs a reset on the Tracker) the activities will have become un-assigned and you'll need to re-assign them to your Tracker.

Toggling Bluetooth

Sometimes if you're unable to pair your Tracker with your desktop or laptop simply toggling the Bluetooth of the device can help.

If you are running Windows:

  1. Turn the Tracker off by pressing and holding the button until the LED lights up green and then let go

  2. Quit the Timeular app by right-clicking the Timeular icon in the Window System Tray (near the clock) and clicking "Exit"

  3. Press the "WINDOWS KEY" on your keyboard and type "Bluetooth" and open "Bluetooth and other devices settings"

  4. Click the "Bluetooth" toggle switch to turn Bluetooth off. Wait a moment and then click the toggle switch again to turn Bluetooth back on

  5. After that launch the Timeular desktop app again, navigate to Settings > Trackers and press the button on your Tracker to turn it on (you may need to click the "Pair" or "Connect" button in the Timeular app if the Tracker doesn't pair automatically)

If you are running macOS:

  1. Turn the Tracker off by pressing and holding the button until the LED lights up green and then let go

  2. Quit the Timeular app by clicking "Timeular" in the menu bar at the top (when the Timeular app is focused) and clicking the "Quit Timeular" option

  3. Open the macOS "System Preferences" app and click on "Bluetooth"

  4. Click on the "Turn Bluetooth Off" button, wait a moment and then click the button again to turn Bluetooth back on

  5. After that launch the Timeular desktop app again, navigate to Settings > Trackers and press the button on your Tracker to turn it on (you may need to click the "Pair" or "Connect" button in the Timeular app if the Tracker doesn't pair automatically)
